Coverage

We deliver across the UK

Wholesale customers anywhere in mainland Britain can be supplied. Where you are determines which day we reach you, not whether we can.

We run refrigerated deliveries nationwide, planned by region so that each run is a sensible length and the cold chain is not stretched across too many drops. Local deliveries around Luton, Bedfordshire and the surrounding counties run more frequently than long-distance runs, simply because the geography allows it.

For the Scottish Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands, delivery is [TO CONFIRM] — these areas may involve a longer lead time, a different carrier arrangement or an additional charge, and we would rather tell you exactly what applies than promise blanket coverage.

Tell us your postcode. It is the fastest way to get a straight answer on your delivery day, your cut-off time and any minimum that applies.

Schedule

Delivery days by region

Delivery days are fixed by region so that you can plan your ordering around them rather than chasing us each week.

Delivery days are set by region rather than published as a fixed national timetable. Once your postcode is on a run, your day is published here you will be able to see your day at a glance; in the meantime, send us your postcode and we will confirm it directly.

Cut-offs

Ordering in time

Our current cut-off for the next available delivery is 6pm the day before. Orders placed after the cut-off go onto the following scheduled run for your region.

  • Standard lines — order by the cut-off for the next available run
  • Bespoke cutting — more notice needed; tell us as early as you can
  • Whole carcasses to a weight band — subject to availability, order well ahead
  • Large event orders — plan back from the date with us
  • Frozen and catering cases — generally quicker, as they are held in stock

Changing an order after the cut-off? Ring us rather than emailing. If the load has not been picked we can usually still change it; once it is on a vehicle we cannot.

Packaging

How your order arrives

Packed for your goods-in, labelled so it can be checked quickly, and built to hold temperature through the journey.

Packed boxes loaded ready for a delivery run

Built to hold temperature

Packaging on a chilled delivery is doing two jobs at once: protecting the product physically, and slowing the rate at which it picks up heat between the vehicle and your chiller. We pack for both.

If your goods-in has particular requirements — a pack size that fits your shelving, your own product codes on the label, a specific inner weight so a case splits cleanly between sections — tell us and we will build it into your account specification.

  • 01 Vacuum packed Primals, joints and portioned cuts are vacuum packed where it suits the line, which protects the product and gives you a longer chilled life.
  • 02 Tray or bulk packed Counter-ready lines are tray packed with absorbent pads. Bulk lines go into food-grade liners inside lidded crates or cases.
  • 03 Interleaved Burgers, kebabs and patties separate cleanly straight from frozen without thawing a whole box.
  • 04 Sensible inners Catering cases are split into inner bags sized so a case opens into usable batches rather than committing you to the whole thing at once.
  • 05 Fully labelled Product description, our code, your code where you use one, net weight, batch identifier, date code, storage instruction and halal identification.
  • 06 Delivery note on every drop Listing exactly what should be in the load, so it can be checked against the boxes before the driver leaves.

On arrival

Receiving your delivery

Two minutes spent checking a delivery saves a great deal of difficulty later. Here is what we would ask you to do.

Check before the driver leaves

  • Count the boxes against the delivery note
  • Check the products and weights match what you ordered
  • Check date codes meet your own requirements
  • Check the condition of the packaging
  • Take a product temperature if your food safety system requires it
  • Note anything wrong on the delivery note and have the driver see it

Then, straight away

  • Get chilled product into your chiller and frozen into your freezer promptly
  • Rotate it into your stock by date code
  • Keep the delivery note — it carries your order reference
  • Contact us the same day if anything is not right

The cold chain becomes yours at the point of handover. If a delivery cannot be put away immediately, tell us in advance and we will work out a delivery time that suits your kitchen instead.

If something is wrong

Shortages, wrong cuts and quality issues

Things do occasionally go wrong. What matters is what happens next, and how quickly.

01

Tell us the same day

Contact us on the day of delivery with your order reference from the delivery note. Photographs help enormously, particularly for a condition or packaging issue. The sooner we know, the more options we have to put it right for your service rather than just credit it afterwards.

02

We check it against our records

We trace the batch, check the picking and dispatch records and look at what actually went onto the vehicle. If the mistake is ours we will say so plainly rather than looking for a reason it might be yours.

03

We put it right

Depending on what has happened and how urgent it is, that means a replacement on the next available run, a redelivery where the timing genuinely matters, or a credit against your invoice. For a short delivery or an incorrect cut we will tell you which of those we can realistically do, and by when.

04

Quality issues

Do not use or sell product you are unhappy with. Keep it under refrigeration, keep the packaging and label so we have the batch code, and contact us. We will trace it, check whether anything else from that batch is affected, and act accordingly — including a full withdrawal if that is what the situation calls for.

Returns of correctly supplied product

Because this is raw meat, we cannot take back correctly supplied product once it has left our temperature control — there is no way to verify how it has been kept. That is a food safety position rather than a commercial one. Anything supplied incorrectly, damaged or not to specification is a different matter entirely and will be resolved. Full terms are on our terms and conditions page.
