Who we are

A supplier, not a middleman

AL HALAL 4U LTD is a halal meat wholesaler operating from 37 Maidenhall Road in Luton, registered in England under company number 14747097.

We supply lamb, mutton, beef, veal, goat and chicken to restaurants, takeaways, independent butchers, catering companies and retailers, and we run a retail counter from the same premises for people buying for their own kitchen.

We are a working butchery operation. Meat comes in, gets broken down, cut, packed and delivered by people who do it every day. That matters more than it might sound: when you ring us about a specification, you are talking to somebody who will be at the bench cutting it, not to a sales desk relaying a message.

We have deliberately not filled this page with figures about how long we have been trading, how many customers we serve or how many tonnes we move. Where a claim like that appears on a supplier's website it should be verifiable, and we would rather earn your business on the specification than on a number.

Our values

What we hold ourselves to

Four things, all of which are easy to say and considerably harder to do consistently on a busy Thursday.

01

Halal integrity, evidenced

Halal is the reason most of our customers are talking to us, so we treat it as a matter of documented fact rather than a marketing line. We handle halal product only, with no pork or non-halal meat anywhere in our premises or vehicles, and we will state our certification and slaughter method from the certificate rather than from memory. Where we cannot yet evidence something, we say so plainly instead of implying it.

02

The specification is the product

Anybody can sell you a box of meat. What a trade kitchen actually buys is consistency — the same dice, the same portion weight, the same trim, week after week, so the section is not adjusting recipes around whatever turned up. We write the specification down once and then repeat it.

03

The cold chain is not negotiable

Meat is only as good as the last hour of its journey. Product is loaded cold, carried cold and handed over cold, with temperatures monitored and recorded. We would rather plan a run properly and deliver a day later than stretch a load across too many drops and hand over something that has been sitting warm.

04

Straight answers about price

Meat is priced daily to market. Any supplier who quotes you a fixed price without saying how long it holds is either guessing or planning to change it. We tell you what a price is, what period it covers, and we invoice at the rate we agreed rather than a figure that has quietly moved.

Our approach

How we like to work with a new account

The first few weeks of a new trade account are where everything gets settled. We would rather spend that time properly than assume we know what you want.

We start with a conversation about what your kitchen actually goes through in a normal week, rather than quoting blind against a price list. Then we quote against your real lines and volumes, agree a written cutting sheet, and run the first few deliveries with a bit more contact than usual so that anything that needs adjusting gets adjusted.

After that it should be quiet. A good supplier relationship is largely uneventful: the order goes in, the right product arrives on the right day, and nobody has to think about it. That is the target.

  • We would rather tell you a lead time is tight than agree to it and let you down
  • If we get something wrong we will say so and put it right
  • If a line is not available we will tell you before the delivery, not on it
  • If a specification is not working for you, tell us once and we will change it

How trade supply works

Trade and retail

One cutting room, two ways to buy

Our wholesale operation and our retail counter share a cutting room, a cold store and a standard. What differs is the volume, the terms and how it reaches you.

Trade

Wholesale

Volume supply on account, cut to a written specification, delivered nationwide on refrigerated vehicles to a fixed day for your region. Fresh and frozen, including catering cases and bespoke butchery.

Retail

The counter, Luton

The same meat, cut to order at the counter for households. Curry, karahi and biryani cuts as standard, family and freezer packs, marinated lines for the grill, and someone who will cut it properly for the dish you are making.
